Everything was very clean, exactly as shown in the photos. Julia was friendly, but we had no signage so we weren’t sure if we’d arrived at the right spot, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly. The guy who answered the phone should try to be friendlier.

The bathroom wasn’t clean and there was no hot water, which was disappointing.

The location was good, but I wished there were mirrors in both the bathroom and the room and a properly working shower head.

We stayed one night at A Peaceful Lodge on our first trip to Cape Town before heading to a family Airbnb we had booked; the welcome was very warm, and the staff (Linnet) were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us useful information that really aided our stay, including a reliable contact we truly appreciated; if you’re looking for a short stay or budget‑friendly lodging, A Peaceful Lodge is a great choice, and we had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it.
