The building’s quirky architecture stands out amid newer homes, and the room feels like a throwback to old‑world charm. The hosts were exceptionally kind, and their homemade preserves—especially the peach‑verbena jam—were a highlight. They served tea in a real teapot, and the bright dining room was perfect for breakfast with other guests. I did dislike how the floor creaked with every step, and the bathroom was far too small.

The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was excellent, offering good value for the price. However, locating the place in the dense urban area proved challenging, and the “inner courtyard” view actually looked out over the car park of the adjacent apartment block.

We only stayed one night while traveling to Portugal, but by the time we left we already wanted to return. The house is breathtaking and enchanting, with a lovely atmosphere and great character. The breakfast, personally served by the lady of the house in a beautiful dining room, was unforgettable and very welcoming. It was a truly pleasant and personal morning. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer; next time we’d love to explore the surroundings of Tours.

What a stunning spot! The house itself is gorgeous, the décor is equally beautiful, and it feels like a little slice of paradise. The hostess is delightful, and the breakfast—filled with homemade goodies and a superb tea that I love—was simply wonderful. Thank you for everything.
