A cozy B&B a short detour from the GR65, and with a bit of planning you can cut the return to Aroue using a shortcut. Host Martin is a real character who loves both chatting with and teaching his guests, and I really enjoyed our conversations. It was one of the highlights of our three‑week Via Podiensis trip.
Pet‑friendly and run by a gentleman—everything was perfect.
“Cosy and comfortable.”
A charming old house with a log fire and antique furniture; Martin greeted me and shared driving tips for Spain before I left. The bed was comfortable, there was a heater, and I could use the kitchen. I only stayed one night while passing through. Wi‑Fi was good, the place is dog‑friendly, and there’s free parking in the garden right outside the house. Just remember it’s a smoking household.
“I had a very restful stay.”
I really appreciated the personal service and the engaging chats. Some pilgrims might find the property a bit too informal, but that’s what I liked.
