The village was very beautiful, but our room was in a different nearby building than the one shown in the photos.

“I couldn’t wait to leave.”

Breakfast was decent, yet the room felt very dated, the bed uncomfortable, and it was noisy because it’s too close to the train station with thin walls; the bathroom was tiny and also dated.

“A perfect place to stay in Laurerbrunnen!”

I booked a small single (twin bed) room as a solo traveler and it suited me; the others in the group preferred larger rooms, bigger beds, and balconies, yet all 13 guests were very satisfied. The place was a bit off in terms of location and dining, though the staff were great.

“Best base came ever !”

Finding the right spot was effortless: it’s directly across from the train station next to the supermarket, on one side of town with easy public transport and a short walk to the waterfall; I used it as a base camp to explore the area, and the location was unbeatable.
