“Big promises led to big disappointment.”
The room decor gave a small boutique feel that I liked, and it was charming to see the owners dine with their family every night. We arrived with high hopes because the staff seemed so gracious and accommodating, but that quickly changed. The room had several cosmetic and functional problems, like cracks in the walls and a leak beneath the bathroom sink. Every “white” towel we got was brown, stained, and smelled awful. The promises of hospitality we initially received vanished; no matter how kind and patient we were, the staff blamed each other for not cleaning our room for days, for not providing fresh towels, and for refusing to answer any questions about Sunset Town as they had promised. In short, big promises turned into an abysmal experience.
