The Residences were great and the staff friendly. The pool and Jacuzzi seemed like they needed attention, and shuttles from the residences to the main lodge would have been nice.

I was drawn to the hotel because it sits close to downtown and the rooms feel roomy, but the name change to Trailborn made checking in a nightmare—almost an hour of searching for the right location. The shower leaked badly, never more than about 60% pressure, a curtain was ripped, and the front desk called asking a few guys to come in the next day to measure the countertops; I told them to wait until after we left. I even had to unplug a hair dryer from one of the bathtubs to get it to drain.

We loved how central the place was and the view was gorgeous, but being without heat for two nights was completely unacceptable. I had to make several calls to get maintenance to remove a lock box from the thermostat. When you spend that much at a luxury hotel you should be able to control your comfort level. There was also a big mix‑up with Snow King that wasn’t handled well, so I won’t book through them again—just go directly to Snow King. Aside from that, the rest of the experience and comfort level made up for it.

The location and views of the surrounding areas are great, and there’s a dedicated parking space. However, the furnishings feel outdated, and I couldn’t get the front desk personnel to answer the telephone.

The rooms are very spacious and well laid out, giving a real sense of luxury and comfort. The only minor gripe is that it’s a bit dark; maybe a little more lighting would help.
