I was thrilled with every aspect of the stay.
“Beautiful stay happily recommended”
We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Cove and truly enjoyed the experience. The food was absolutely superb, and a special mention goes to Cesare, the Food & Beverage Manager, who does an outstanding job. The restaurants are of a very high standard, with excellent quality and great attention to detail. Overall, the hospitality and dining experience were among the highlights of our stay. The only real disappointment was the beach, which felt somewhat neglected. I completely understand that the choice is to leave corals and stones in place in order to preserve the natural character of the beach, and I actually appreciate this approach. However, the sea regularly brought in litter such as cans, bottles, bottle caps, and even a toothbrush, and these items were consistently left on the beach. Of course, this rubbish does not come from the resort, but is brought in by the sea; however, it should ideally be removed by the staff on a regular basis. During our stay, we noticed that the staff regularly swept away leaves around the beachfront villas, while the litter washed ashore remained on the beach. A little more attention to collecting marine litter would make a significant difference and would bring the beach experience in line with the otherwise excellent standard of the resort
“Paradise this place really is……just wear lots of bug spray and be vigilant re logistics and invoices. Blue Lagoon its si”
The food was the best we’ve had in Fiji across three different restaurants, the staff were friendly, and the kids club was the best in Fiji; we stayed in a 2‑bed villa on the beach that had two showers and sinks in the main bathroom, big daybeds outside, private sunloungers with padding, giant egg chairs that fit a family of four, beanbags and daybeds by the pool in addition to standard sunloungers, a free water tap at the bar, plenty of tables and sunloungers for everyone, and free babysitting for four hours each day. However, we were bitten much more than on other Fijian islands, there was an ant infestation in the villa, the minibar and room water weren’t replenished daily, the conditioner ran out a couple of times mid‑shower unless we asked, the beach wasn’t as good as other islands, and occasionally our food order was forgotten, causing us to wait almost an hour while other tables received their meals first. We provided our flight details in writing for transfers, but the resort failed to coordinate the boat logistics, forcing us to book an expensive hotel on the spot that could have been cheaper if the resort had communicated better; we did receive a credit for the first night at the end of our stay. On the return boat to Nadi we stopped at Octopus Resort and nearly lost one of our kids’ trunki bags with all their toys when they almost put it on the transfer boat, but we caught them in time. When checking out we asked for invoices and receipts, but they were not provided until the last morning, and the final bill omitted two days of charges, boat transfers, and the one‑night credit, so we had to help reception redo the bill before we could catch the boat back to Nadi.
“True to its name , this is paradise !”
The pristine white sand beach offers a stunning view of a nearby island, part of the untouched Yasawa chain; the resort blends Fijian culture with a hint of luxury, serves fantastic food that’s reasonably priced, and the staff are incredibly friendly.
The rooms were nice and the staff friendly, and the restaurants were good, but at night the bathroom was infested with lizards and bugs, making the outdoor villa bathrooms uncomfortable after dark even though they’re pleasant during the day.
