When I first stepped inside, I braced for disappointment because the hotel looked pretty old. By the middle of the first day, though, I fell in love with the place. It’s a great spot for dog owners – a park right across the street, a beach nearby, and a dog-friendly beach just an 8‑minute walk away. The breakfast was excellent, and it didn’t feel like everything was bought from a discount store. The rooms had everything you need and were very clean. Some of the interior fixtures look dated, but they’re kept so well that they don’t spoil the vibe. The owners are very warm and always reachable. The surrounding restaurants are simply wonderful and not overpriced. There’s plenty of free parking nearby, and the hotel also offers paid parking that you need to book in advance. The only downside was having to pay 6 € per day for each of the two dogs at the end of the stay, which felt a bit painful, but it seems to be the usual rate now, so we were a little sad but not upset with the hotel.
