I had an incredible stay at this hotel, which boasts an amazing location that's perfect for experiencing world-class surfing. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the owners and staff were warm and welcoming. What truly stood out, though, was the strong cultural and familial ties to the land, which added a rich layer to our stay. The on-site dining and chef made our birthday celebration truly unforgettable.

I was blown away by the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere of this property, which made for a perfect spa getaway. The way the property was laid out made me feel private while still showcasing the stunning natural surroundings, and the incorporation of Māori culture was beautifully done. However, I did find the check-in process a bit confusing, as there wasn't a clear indication of where to go upon arrival - a small sign by the front door would have been helpful.

This place was absolutely beautiful and peaceful - a true gem! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and we loved meeting the owner and getting a tour of the property. We had an amazing time and are so grateful for the warm hospitality we received.

I highly recommend this hotel for its unbeatable location right in front of one of New Zealand's best surf spots. The accommodation was great, and the wellness facilities were amazing. The people were lovely, and the rich history of the place only added to its charm - it's a must-visit destination in NZ.
