Hotel Central Yokohama

“４人から６人で泊まるのに最高！”

We were five people with suitcases, so the space was good for each person’s luggage. The room was clean, had a tub and a kitchen, and the area was not as safe as some reviews said, but a local night‑life guy told us “Central Hotel is this one” even though we hadn’t asked. The only downside was that we had five people staying, but the table had only four chairs, so a simple folding chair would have been nice. The kitchen was great and we could use the dishes, so that was very good; I just wanted instructions on how to clean up at the end.

“Not sure I would book it again..”

It was affordable, spacious, and comfortable with soft beds. The mini kitchen had all necessities, plus a washing machine and a clothes drying rack. The bathroom/toilet area was nice and roomy. The location was convenient. However, it was right in the middle of nightlife districts, so loud music and chatter on the street made it hard to sleep (not soundproof enough). The air conditioning unit was extremely dusty and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a long time. I also saw black mould behind the shower room mirror, a huge health hazard.

I could check in without any hassle, but locating the hotel was a struggle.

“遠征にはとても良いです。”

The place was cleaner and more comfortable than I had imagined; it turned out better than the reviews suggested, perhaps because I stayed on the 8th floor.

“2度と泊まらない”

The price listed on the site was different from what I paid; the cleaning fee was higher than the room rate, and there was no mention of it until after booking was confirmed. The location was also not great and the area felt unsafe.
