The location is good, close to Kudzi beach. The single room has everything needed for a long stay: sink, kettle, fridge, dishes, microwave, TV, iron, hair dryer, and a very good bed. The air‑conditioner kept the room warm in August. The large table works well, and the Wi‑Fi was reliable. The hotel offers a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. It seems the idea is self‑service for longer stays, so a discount should be offered for long‑term bookings. The hostel is suitable for extended stays. The shared showers and toilets are convenient and usually free. The atmosphere is very calm, no noise, and there’s a nice courtyard. Photos match reality. The single room has two windows that must always be kept closed with curtains because one faces a garbage container area and the other is blocked by a shelf. There is no reception; staff can only be reached by phone. Minimal housekeeping: common areas are tidied but not daily. Bed linens and towels are changed only on request and only in the guest’s presence during the cleaner’s shift (midday). Over 22 days they only did this once, which is problematic for long stays. It seems guests are expected to manage their own linens, but then a second set is needed and guests should be warned. With this level of service, the room price should be lower for long stays.

“Ok budget stay”

The location is great, the building is lovely and the hallway is very charming. The shared kitchen has everything you need, and the room’s kitchen is so complete you don’t have to leave unless you want to use the stove. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers, and everyone else was very respectful and quiet. Check‑in was easy via phone call. It’s very cheap. The air‑con worked well. The cleanliness was really poor even for us, who aren’t picky. The tops of the cupboards in our room were black with dust, and under the bed there was the same plus random stuff. The interior of the cupboards wasn’t clean either. The worst part was that we arrived Friday afternoon and left Tuesday morning and the toilets weren’t cleaned at all, or if they were they weren’t cleaned thoroughly. We ran out of toilet paper one night. There was no staff on site at all. If you’re looking for a bargain, it’s fine for a few nights, but don’t stay longer. The bed was very old, squeaky, and not the best or most comfortable for jet lag.

“It was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.”

We were thrilled with our stay. The suite exceeded our size expectations, featuring a fully equipped kitchenette. The bed, positioned on a mezzanine, worked well for a couple with differing sleep preferences. The bathroom was spotless and the shower delivered strong water pressure. A skylight added a pleasant daytime glow, and it could be fully closed at night for darkness. The room was remarkably quiet—likely because it was winter and the courtyard was empty, a level of silence I'd never experienced before. The only minor wish was a dustbuster in the suite; I did find a dustpan and brush in the kitchen cupboard on the last day, which was handy.

“The lodging facilities were not a high point in my otherwise pleasant stay in Sydney.”

The location was convenient, close to UNSW and Randwick, but beyond that there was little to recommend. The Wi‑Fi was almost unusable, the TV had no signal, and hot water was intermittent. Mold in the tiny bathroom left the washcloths yellowed, and the walk‑in shower flooded when used. The total cost of $1400/week was outrageously high for all of these issues.

The place was well situated near shops and the light rail, and the room came with a fridge‑freezer, microwave, sink, kettle, and a comfortable chair with good back support. However, the Wi‑Fi and TV were both poor, and the mattress felt lumpy.
