“Na een lange fietstocht door de Ardennen was dit toch een tegenvaller”

We were served breakfast in our room upon arrival, and the next morning the spread was adequate, though the coffee came from a Nespresso machine with only two pods. The room itself was acceptable, but the location was almost impossible to locate; after asking around the street we eventually found it. The staircase to the room was a steep iron flight that, while we are still active, would be too much for most people.

The guest room on the upper floor was tastefully decorated and had a big private bathroom plus a terrace right on the Felshang, under the famous Floreffe Abbey. The host also runs a great restaurant in the same building, complete with a charcoal grill. The welcome was warm and the room had everything you’d need. If you don’t want to leave the room in the morning, you can add a small breakfast for a fee; otherwise there’s a bakery down the street. It’s very bike‑friendly.
