“Awful”
The location was the only thing that mattered. The level of cleanliness was appalling. Insects were everywhere, and the number of mosquitoes was unbearable. I found a huge cockroach on my bed, and there were more than one during this 30‑hour stay; each time we caught and removed one, it kept coming back, even though we used insecticide spray. My bed sheets were dirty, and when I asked for new ones, they were dirty too. I couldn’t sleep at night because of it. Also, there was no air conditioning, even though the room I booked was supposed to have it. I had booked an 8‑bed room, but they gave me a 12‑bed room and insisted it was the right one. They claimed the room actually consisted of a 9‑bed section, plus a “semi‑private” area with 2 beds (which required climbing all of stairs *through* the main room to access), and—up another set of stairs—a supposedly fully private space with an additional bed. So it was a 12‑bed room; the whole thing was a total scam—especially considering I had paid for an 8‑bed room. On top of that, maintenance work—painting, drilling, and more—was going on in the room all day. They left the door open (even when I closed it—they opened it right again), letting in mosquitoes and making me feel uneasy about the safety of my personal belongings and my privacy. Plus, all my stuff got covered in dust and dirt from the drilling, and the room constantly smelled from the paint. Bottom line: I would have been better off spending a bit more money to get basic sanitary standards—something Bella simply doesn’t offer.
