The place was simple yet cozy, the staff very welcoming, rooms quiet and comfortable, and the view from the window was amazing. Unfortunately, it rained every day so we couldn’t use the pool or lake for fishing, but we rested a lot. The food was amazing—so good we didn’t even feel hungry, it was like grandma’s cooking; the simple afternoon tea was also tasty. Even though the accommodation was basic, it was very cozy. We brought our pets and they loved everything. I highly recommend it for a weekend getaway. Between breakfast and lunch, there were portions we could take to the room because of the rain. There was a game room where we could play and chat with other guests while it rained. I highly recommend! The only downside was that the double bed was made of two single mattresses; for someone who moves a lot like my husband, they split apart and he woke up in the middle of the two mattresses, even though there was a thin mattress on top.
