Sovn Boutique Hotel in Camps Bay combines Scandinavian minimalism and African design. The hotel features an outdoor pool with sun loungers and free WiFi. Spacious, air-conditioned rooms and suites have balconies or terraces, minibars, and electric kettles. Located 1 km from the Theatre on the Bay, 3 km from the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, and 5 km from Cape Town city centre.

We had a truly pleasant stay and were especially impressed by how clean and well maintained the hotel was; everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for throughout our visit. The service was equally wonderful—the staff, especially Masi, were warm, attentive, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. We also felt very safe and secure during our time at the hotel, which gave us great peace of mind and made the stay even more relaxing. We did experience a power outage one night in Camps Bay, which was a little inconvenient (the hotel does have a backup generator that lasted a couple of hours!). We also noticed a recent change in staff/chef, and unfortunately this meant that some breakfast items were unavailable during our stay; hopefully this is just a temporary transition as the new team settles in.

Breakfast was served promptly, everything was freshly prepared, and the rooms were clean.

We booked a sea view room, which was stunning. Our kids stayed in the garden room, which felt a bit damp. A miscommunication about housekeeping meant our rooms weren’t cleaned for 2‑3 days.

The place was tidy, the staff were friendly, and the area was quiet. The stairs made a loud noise when people came in late at night.
