The place sits right at the foot of the Tower, surrounded by tree canopies – a perfect launchpad for the area, especially if you want to beat the crowds before opening. Across the street is a charming restaurant that shares the name, and the rooms were spotless.

The location is unbeatable, a stone's throw from hiking trails and a solid base for day trips. The apartment was clean, the kitchen equipped, and the nearby tavern serves good food and sliced beer. But the terrace and grill are part of the lower unit, making them less usable, and the owners claim there are kids’ games and books, which there weren’t. The TV is tiny and the signal is so weak you’re watching static instead of shows.

The cottage was tidy and comfortable, with enough gear to make a longer stay easy. It sits just a few steps from the canopy trail and the hiking paths, and there’s a restaurant right across the street. We left feeling satisfied.
