A very atmospheric place, spotless, with efficient and friendly staff. The hosts were easy to reach and very helpful. The surroundings are beautiful, and I definitely recommend it.

The setting is lovely and quiet, with old barns and a big recreation field, and the only way to get there is by car. The place feels cozy, the room was clean, breakfast good, and a nearby clear lake with a small pool is a nice touch for a weekend getaway. However, our room was very noisy because a group downstairs kept talking, laughing, screaming, playing music, and the bathroom water made a constant hiss all night and into the morning—hard to rest when expecting silence.

The lake and park surroundings were nice, but the property was poorly marked on the booking site and the navigation led to someone’s private house. The grounds were neglected with broken items and loungers scattered everywhere. A fly was in the bath towel, the room had a stale odor (maybe a charm of the place), parking was muddy yet spacious. The “cherry on the cake” was an over‑the‑top car that had no culprit. The owner said, “we don’t know, sorry, come again; we have cameras but just ordered them.” The property doesn’t keep a registry of license plates, which I find very weak. The lady who escorted us to the room didn’t even know we were arriving. The pool was there, but when we called a day before it wasn’t answered. On arrival, the man told us the pool was already booked, “someone beat us to it,” and that we should negotiate with a group of bridesmaids about a partial refund to use the pool.

The park, surroundings, lake, and host were all wonderful.

The nature is beautiful, the garden lovely, the area secluded, the old house charming, and there’s peace and quiet—those are the main positives. The house isn’t well suited for staying, lacks design and comfort, and the worst are the mattresses and linens. I haven’t slept on such bad mattresses in all four rooms for a long time, and the bedding was very low quality. Thank you that we were offered a replacement on the second night, but on the first we slept as best we could. The kitchen is completely unprepared, giving the impression that no one stays more than a night, which makes me question the many positive reviews. I was glad we only stayed two nights and spent the days outside the house.
