Great location and our host Carol was very welcoming and gave us a very comprehensive tour of all facilities, which were excellent. We arrived ‘home’ in the afternoon of our first days outings to a plate with fresh banana bread and butter, which we enjoyed for afternoon tea. Our breakfast trays were excellent with a good range of fruit&juice, cereals and muffins, bread and spreads, and even some cheese 🧀 on our second morning. The bed was especially comfortable and room heating good. All was excellent. Highly recommend! Rombout and Jo. Everything excellent
I had booked a single night and let the staff know that a delay from Wellington would push my arrival to about 30 minutes later. When I finally got there, Carol greeted me with a noticeably rude tone, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially after a long trip. As someone from the hospitality sector, I expected a courteous welcome and better communication, and I hope the management takes this criticism seriously to improve future guest interactions.
I found the value excellent, the host lovely, and the setup great; everything was perfect and I’ll book again.
