Pousada Praia dos Carneiros is a charming beachfront hotel surrounded by tall coconut trees in a protected area with natural pools. It features air-conditioned rooms with LCD TV, minibar, DVD, MP3 player, and some with microwave. The Arikindá dos Carneiros Restaurant serves Brazilian dishes and seafood, and a daily buffet breakfast is offered. Boat, horse, and carriage trips can be arranged.

The structure (bungalows + common areas) is good, but the breakfast lacked basic items like toast bread, cold milk, butter, and other essentials; this was totally inconsistent with the lodge’s standard.

We loved everything—the chalet with its pool, the style, all was wonderful. The only downside was that it’s far from everything; you have to go out to enjoy the area because there’s no nearby town.

The location is perfect, the beach is lovely, there’s a lagoon with crystal‑clear water, few street vendors and quiet; it’s just a few meters from the iconic little church and the Bora Bora beach club. The beachfront bungalow setup is top, the Patola restaurant/bar is friendly and attentive (shout‑out to Júnior). The pool is huge and heated, the bathrooms are climate‑controlled and clean, and there’s a beach‑tennis court. We received an upgrade to a deluxe bungalow with a private pool, which is very new and spacious, but you have to walk a short distance to the beach depending on which room you get. The bed is super comfortable and an immersion bathtub is available. The shower drain in the shower box was clogged and didn’t let water drain properly. Breakfast needs more organization; lost items are forgotten or take a long time to replace, and some items are missing. The Patola restaurant/bar prices are high, as expected in Carneiros.

The place and facilities are wonderful, and the food was very tasty, though the service was a little slow. The main improvement would be the WhatsApp communication channel, which is provided but not always responsive, and the lack of insect repellent in the premises, which is important given the environment. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. I would return and recommend!
