The room was large and comfortable, and the bed was good. The train tracks are close, so it’s not ideal for light sleepers. Guests should be asked to dress appropriately for breakfast and not show up in their pyjamas, as it’s disrespectful to other guests.

This old house has a lot of character, and the breakfast was fantastic with homemade jams and eggs cooked just how we wanted. The spot is great, but we did hear trains at night—our room was nearest the tracks and we’re light sleepers, though the noise was barely noticeable. If that could bother you, ask for a room on the opposite side of the house. Don’t miss the charm of this place.

I ate a satisfying breakfast, then settled into a quiet room at the end of the hallway that was easy to find. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with everything needed, and the host greeted me warmly. The inn sits just a short walk from downtown, our friends' house, and the boat dock. The only hiccups were the TV’s tricky controls and the shower’s small size.

The room was bright, comfortable, and impeccably clean with nice furnishings and décor. It’s just a short walk to the Waterfront Trail, the Rugged North Shore Trail, downtown, restaurants, and other amenities. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was excellent. The inn is close to a railway bridge, so request a back‑room to avoid the noisy trains at night.
