Nothing positive. Everything in general was like spider webs, there was no bath gel, a bad ceiling fan, and the shower was terrible.

The accommodation offered self‑check‑in and sent messages upon arrival and departure. Despite the good intentions, the low quality doesn’t match the price. It smells terribly of damp as soon as you enter, and the place encourages you to open the windows to “enjoy the ocean,” which is a euphemism at best. The room lacks the lighting shown in the photos. There are no photos of the bathroom, which is very basic; the shower only has a curtain and all the water spills out. They provide just paper towels and no complimentary gel. There are no outlets in the bathroom, so you have to dry your hair next to the bed on the only outlet that has a power strip. The sheets were old and even smaller than the bed, so they fell off and were uncomfortable. There is only one fan, and it’s not enough because the accommodation is not a villa as advertised; it’s a converted house with a hallway of rooms that gets very hot. You can hear all the noise from other rooms and cars passing on the busy road in front.

The host was very pleasant and responsive, the lodging is 10 min from Albufeira, well‑situated and fairly quiet. It lacks air‑conditioning because it can get very hot.

“Passable”

The bed and the ceiling fan were good, but we were disappointed by the lack of information before and during booking. The room felt pricey because it had no fridge, no dining table, and the listing claimed there were “common areas” that didn’t exist. Our arrival was also messy: the address on Booking was wrong, so we paid a first taxi to that spot, then the host sent a new address via WhatsApp once we got there. We had to catch a second taxi, incurring extra costs. After a long trip our phones were nearly dead. At check‑in the host demanded an ID to get the key box code. With one phone off, we had to rush to provide the ID and explain we needed the code to charge our phone and send the second one, because he kept insisting on the second ID. We eventually managed to get the code, but it took a long time in the heat and the host showed no empathy. Overall, the stay didn’t match the price and the missing details made our arrival unnecessarily difficult. We just wanted to share our experience because we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.
