The location is amazing, though a bit spartan. Locals are friendly and the food is good, especially considering you’re 800 meters above the valley. Maybe I was a bit unlucky; the disco went on until 11 pm, even though locals said the max was 9 or 10 pm. Loud guests came to this accommodation and the show went on until 1 am. It’s practically a camp high in the mountains, so it would be nice if the toilet had a roof, as the current setup isn’t optimal during heavy rain.

The campsite was great, and the tent was clean and comfortable. We received a huge welcome meal that was included in the tent cost; it was delicious and unexpected. Dinner and breakfast were lovely too. The views from our tent were amazing, and we slept soundly that night. A flawless stay in amazing surroundings.

Hassan gave us a great welcome at camp and handed us a welcome tea. It might have been their first guest. A three‑man tent (just for me) was already set up on the meadow’s edge overlooking the valley, offering a stunning uninterrupted view. Chairs and a table outside let me relax and have meals, but I ate dinner inside the kitchen/dining tent because it was cold. Chef Walid prepared a fantastic mixed vegetable dinner, and he was available for green tea and mineral water; breakfast was included. The tent had a large, thick, cushioned duvet on the floor, two pillows, and a thick, warm sleeping bag – they offered extra blankets if needed. The bathroom was fine for me – a screened‑off drop toilet a good distance away – though some might want more in the future. It was a little pricey, but that’s to be expected, and I was happy to pay since there are only three other sites unless you have your own tent.
