“Great villa in a lovely quiet remote location with lots of wildlife all around!”
We really enjoyed our stay at Mas Planella, which is located in a remote spot near the village of Mieres; it’s very quiet and rural, so it might not suit everyone but if that’s your thing you’ll love it. The beds are simple but comfortable, and Chris and his wife were a great help. The bins were emptied often and the pool stayed clean. The pool measures about 10 m × 4 m, a decent size and not overly chlorinated. It’s worth having breakfast by the pool in the shade and then lunch to the side in the shade or indoors. There’s a games room with a ping‑pong table and projector, but the Wi‑Fi didn’t quite reach there. The Wi‑Fi works okay in the villa but not as well outside, which is due to the thick stone walls. The shop in Mieres is worth a visit—it’s a bit hard to find but is on the main street and marked on Google Maps. There’s also a bakery a little further down the main street on the opposite side, which is also a bit difficult to locate. Check the opening hours for both, as they may close on different days or times. The shop is small but offers a good selection of items, and you can even bring your own bottle to fill up; we’d recommend drinking on the day of purchase or soon after. The only downside is that there’s no air‑conditioning, just fans, which isn’t a big issue but some might find it tough. Other than that, not much else; the toilets sometimes needed a little encouragement to flush, but that wasn’t a major problem for us.

It’s a spectacular house, the area is very pretty with animals, green fields, and tranquility, and the owners are nice. We liked everything; it’s a place we’d definitely return to.

A beautiful house, well‑located with good facilities, but in the late afternoon the rooms got a bit chilly until the heating was finally programmed to turn on.
“Casa rural con familias”
The outdoor space and surroundings are wonderful; we were four families and the house has spacious rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a media room. The place is very quiet and close to hiking spots and other attractions. We had a great time and the staff were very friendly. The mattresses, however, were generally too soft and springy, making many nights uncomfortable, and there were a few minor bathroom issues (shower heads, curtain or partition) and a slight lack of deep cleaning.
The personal service from the moment we contacted them was excellent and they resolved all our doubts; the only issue was that one of the mattresses made a bit of noise.
