The building is in a basement with no windows at all, and the apartment smelled damp and moldy; the attempts to freshen the air with air fresheners placed in a few spots were futile. Nothing else.

The 5–10 minute walk on the train or metro (on time) takes you to the airport and Bari Centrale. The two terraces are a nice spot to relax in the evening; the place is clean and spacious. Bitonto is a quiet little town with a small historic center (pizza, the croissant cornetto, and excellent coffee at the local terraces). The access stairs are a bit narrow if you have a big stroller. The shower has poor drainage. They don’t collect the trash from the room (I had to take it out daily to the nearest bins) and they don’t clean it either. Even though I messaged them from day one, the toilet water tap couldn’t be fixed before I left (I stayed 4 nights). Otherwise, there was constant communication with a staff member from the owners who came daily, even to give access to satellite TV channels, but the efficiency was extremely low.
