The food was the best we’ve had in Georgia so far; the balcony was great for relaxing and watching the mountains after our hike; the downstairs common room and the bedrooms were very nice; the family and their dog were super friendly and you feel right at home.

MEGI was wonderful and a great cook; her husband was very friendly and invited us to a tea that he probably makes himself, and he even helped us with a paid jump for someone who didn’t want to go on the trail the next day. The self‑serve tea and coffee corner was a real treat, as were the balcony and the “living room” between the rooms, which completed the homely, family atmosphere. In the rooms, the coffee corner, and the dining room you can heat things. The location is right on the trail and directly opposite the trail’s signpost. The linens and beds were very comfortable, and one of my daughters almost wanted to stay there for four days instead of continuing the trail.

The room was super comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was excellent, and the dinner served by the host was fabulous—all for a very fair price.
