You get a little house with a view of the beautifully landscaped grounds. The outdoor area is generous, with a covered terrace (good for sun and rain) and a lawn in front. The equipment is very good, it’s spacious and very clean. The hosts are super helpful and kind, they take care of anything missing or give tips on what to do. The location is excellent. Kai Iwi Lakes are only a 10‑minute walk for a stroll or a swim. A few suggestions for improvement: inside it’s not as cozy as we’d like. Everything is in dark grey, black or white. Adding some color or wood would help. A small coffee table for putting things down would be nice. In the bathroom a lighter privacy screen before the window would be good; sitting or standing directly in front of the window on the toilet or shower forces you to use the privacy screen and then the bathroom is dark.

“Great stay and brilliant host”

An excellent retreat. Quiet, comfortable and well equipped. Bonus of ripe figs from the prolific tree in the garden. Great fun using the home theatre & gym. The lakes were close and brilliant for swimming. Wonderful host. Thanks Cherie. Nothing to add - everything was fine

“This was a great couples romantic get away. The bird life was amazing and so was the lake.”

The spot was perfect, just a stroll to the lake, and the apartment came fully equipped. We had to bring our own food, but the oil for the BBQ was already there. The spa was really nice. The pond shown in the photo looked a little dull, but it shone when it rained, and the birdlife was fantastic.
