“We have stayed here before and likely will again.”
The accommodations were nice, there’s a beautiful golf course, and the beach is a short walk away. Food and drinks were good, but the service didn’t meet expectations—a bit disappointing as this was the only low point.
“Appliance missing”
Everything was fine except that there was no microwave. I had to bring my neck warmer to heat it for my sore neck, but the room had no microwave, and I definitely won’t go downstairs to heat it.
The property boasts cool artwork, rich history, and secret rooms that add a unique touch.
“Relaxing, nice amenities and friendly staff.”
The location and amenities were great. No negatives.
“I wish I were a golfer”
The hotel sits just a few miles from Seaside and a short drive from Astoria, and it carries the same charm and décor as the other McMinns locations, though it’s definitely a newer build. It’s clearly aimed at golfers, so there’s no beach view, sauna, spa, or pool, and kids won’t find it appealing. The lobby staff were blunt and unwelcoming, but the swing‑shift girl was a delight, offering great service and advice both in person and over the phone—she’s a real gem! If you’re planning to golf and the weather cooperates, this place is for you. When booking, there’s a decent chance you’ll end up in the “annex” instead of the main hotel without any warning. I noticed a bit of black in the shower corner of room 302.
