The host was incredibly friendly and booked us into the best suite in the hotel; the food and breakfast were good too, which helped make up for the disappointment of the nearby Queens Head that disgracefully cancelled our reservation, and I never got my money back either. Nothing negative—11 out of 10 all round!

The food was excellent—well cooked and plentiful—and the staff were all very friendly. We brought two dogs with us and they were made most welcome. The hotel looks a bit tired in some spots, but as a stopover on the way from Gloucestershire to West Scotland it was ideal.

I slept like never before, the location is great with nice local walks around a lovely village, parking is good, and the area feels very safe.

The place sits in a great spot, quiet and close to good walking routes and a range of attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless and roomy, featuring a large, comfy bed. The building itself isn’t the prettiest on the outside, but inside it’s very nice. The bar/lounge area was cozy and the food tasty. I’d gladly return.
