The best option in Alter do Chão without doubt; the villa is small, so moving around from here is easy, the hostel is a block from Playa do Cajueiro and right next to the CAT entrance where you can see the best sunsets in Alter, and the staff are super friendly and make you feel at home.

The spot is spot on – just a hop from Praia do Cajueiro and close to the city center and Ilha do Amor. Everything was organized and even better than I imagined. Claudia made me feel right at home, and I’d definitely come back.

Loved the location and the breakfast was top‑notch. The service from Dona Sandra, Dona Joelma, Bia, and the volunteers was amazing. Staying in the female room with its own bathroom was a real bonus.

Everyone was super friendly, and the room had handy storage, curtains for the lower beds, and a separate basin from the shower – nice touches. Sandra was excellent and attentive. The only gripe: the AC should turn on earlier because it gets really hot during the day.

The place and the staff were great, but it gets sweltering during the day and the AC only kicks in at night.
