Peace and quiet, the location was authentic. The menu choice for dinner – the same menu each evening – offered only two main course options. I would have liked more local food options.

Parking was right next to the accommodation, though a few stairs had to be climbed; the view from our balcony was gorgeous and the wild garden was very inviting for walks. Breakfast was excellent and homemade. We were first offered a different room but could switch without any trouble. It’s worth it for a one‑night stay or a stopover to Cique Terre. At night we heard deer in the woods – loud, yet soothing. Dogs, cats and other animals are also present on site. The noise from people in the room above us was very loud, but it quietened during the night.
