I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, but the spot was near a lot of good restaurants that I walked to. The check‑in went wrong, probably an operator mistake, so after arriving exhausted I had to stand outside on the street for an hour in the heat warning in Long Beach—very hot—while the staff tried to sort out the code. I missed the rest I’d hoped for, but once I figured out the protocol I could enter whenever I wanted. A free late check‑out for an hour or two would have helped.
