Linda and Jonathon’s meticulous attention to detail and care were outstanding.

Grove House is a great Bed & Breakfast, very British, very family‑like, very cozy. Linda and Jonathan serve a tasty breakfast every morning and cater well to requests; you can chat with them or other guests over breakfast and get good local tips. The room has a mini‑fridge stocked with drinks that are refilled when used. The garden is lovely, with several seating areas. Poppelton is about 5 km outside York, reachable by bus, train, or bike. The village is quiet, free of through traffic, and has three pubs, two of which offer excellent dining. The only downside was that our vacation ended and we had to leave.

Nice spot just outside York, and York is quickly reachable by train.
