The owner reached out before we even left home to make sure our trip would go smoothly, explaining the best route from the airport to the guesthouse and later helping us book the return journey. He also shared excellent tips on local sights, eateries, and culture. The place was ideally located, just a five‑minute walk to the bus stop for tours and another five minutes to downtown. Everything was perfect!

We were only a two‑minute walk from the stunning cathedral that dominates the town, making it super easy to find our way back after exploring. Our rooms were roomy enough for us, our luggage, and our clothes, and there were plenty of bus stops nearby for all our trips. The only downside was that after the first shower, everything smelled like sulfur and that odor lingered the whole stay—though I know that’s just the water in Reykjavik.

The location and the Airbnb were bright and comfortable, very pretty! It would have been nice to have dish soap and toilet cleaning supplies, especially since we stayed for a week and those would have been useful.
