“Dormito 4 ore e scappati via”
The building was renovated, but the shared toilets were dirty and there were no sheets; never again.
“alles sonst gut”
No breakfast. The room code and number were only sent by email in the afternoon of the night of the stay. The key‑box was missing, so the message about the room number and code was the main issue.
“difficult to find the location,”
Clean, quiet area. No one was at the reception when we arrived.
“Szczerze odradzam, chyba, że ktoś w takim chlewie czuje się dobrze.”
They gave a towel, a fridge, a kettle and a hair dryer in the room. I don’t understand how this hostel got a 7‑rating. It started with missing check‑in codes and the staff didn’t respond. Luckily the nearby garage helped us contact the owner. We received the room number and key‑box code via email a few minutes after booking. Then the correspondence about keys that we never got for the room or the entrance door began. That was important because the code 1234 could be entered by anyone. In the end a staff member came and gave us the key. Seriously, I haven’t seen such mess anywhere else. At first we noticed a broken lamp on the nightstand that was placed so it wouldn’t break. Half‑meter‑high cobwebs hung from the ceiling, the floors were dirty, the dust on the bed frame was thick enough to write on, corners were pitch black, there was no hot water, and there were dry bugs in the bathroom behind the cabinet… you can’t list everything. At least it was only two nights and only at night because we weren’t there during the day.
The place was clean and nice inside. Check‑in was simple and there were no shared shower rooms. The door was left open all the time and there was no staff present. Because of that, there was no one to ask for help or to ensure everyone was taken care of. We unfortunately had some unpleasant people in the rooms next to us, so we didn’t feel entirely safe, as there was no one to turn to. The hostel was in a slightly odd industrial part of a typical residential area, and although the area felt safe with families, it gave a weird vibe.
