The staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious for the price, and the location is within walking distance of Balboa Park and other popular spots. Parking was a bit tight but still decent for the area, and we could park two cars overnight.

The location is insane for the price, within walking distance of downtown and easy to reach by car. The rooms look nicer than you’d expect from the outside. It’s just a classic motel, nothing special, but in San Diego you don’t really want to stay in a room; it’s just enough for sleeping, and for the money you can’t find a better spot in the city. The rooms get a bit noisy at night—when cars drive by you hear it, but it’s not terrible.

Someone told me that a homeless person was sleeping there during Covid, and the nearby area was very bad and scary.

It’s super ugly, nothing like the photos. Super dirty and horrible, nothing like the photos—watch out!
