I didn't get much to say. The place looked worn out and the water smelled like a pigsty; after showering I still carried that odor all day until I finally found another shower at my destination. It was an extremely hot day in west Texas, so I was sweating profusely when I left, and people stared at me as if I'd defecated in my pants—utterly embarrassing and harsh on my part.

Some of the renovations needed fixing but everything else was fine. The hotel wasn't crowded.

The room was huge. The beds were comfy and the pillows were heavenly! The A/C kept the room nice and cool. I loved the little individual cup coffee maker—super convenient, as was the in-room fridge. Housekeeping came right away with extra coffee and a blanket when we asked. The pool was closed because the hotel was being remodeled; we only found out upon arrival, but the lack of a pool was a minor inconvenience and the remodeling didn't bother us much since we mostly slept in the room. I would have stayed even if we had known beforehand.
