Almost everything we needed was available—fridge, microwave oven, glassware, a common television—yet there was no dedicated staff for the property and the parking and security facilities were poor.

The address had been updated incorrectly, so I couldn’t check in at all; the Google Maps location pointed somewhere else, the owner was irresponsible, never answered our calls on time, and I was stranded at night—a horrible experience I would never recommend.

The place was spotless and offered direct beach access, but the jacuzzi was broken (we were told beforehand, but it would have been nice if it worked); there were fishmongers next door, no disturbances, and when heading to the beach we had to walk a bit farther, which wasn’t a big deal.

Just off the bus drop‑off and within walking distance of Jungle Beach, the hostess was friendly, the balcony view was great, the room was huge, and the air‑conditioning was excellent.

Deniz is 5 m away. This is a three‑room family house with an exceptionally large and comfortable room and a private terrace by the sea. The breakfast was selective, the owner and the receptionist were wonderful and attentive to all our issues. The place feels a bit old and needs maintenance, but it’s far from Fort Galle, and Tuk‑Tuks depart right in front of the door.
