Friendly ladies at the front desk handed me the room I wanted, and I was thrilled with the spacious rooms and the large safe. Everything was spotless and there was nothing else to complain about. I’m not giving a 10 this time, but based on my previous stays I’ll give them a solid 10.

We found the location ideal – only a 10‑minute drive from where my family lives. The king‑size bed was super comfortable and the walk‑in shower was great. The room had a Nespresso machine, an electric kettle, and a fridge, which were perfect for making tea and coffee. The desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The property featured interesting artwork and lighting throughout. Parking was right outside for about 5 € a day; free parking would have been nicer but the charge isn’t terrible. The only downside was the tiny espresso cups that fill up from the Nespresso machine and are impossible to drink from without burning your hands. We asked the desk for larger mugs and they found some for us to borrow during our stay. Clearly whoever designed that coffee feature didn’t actually use it! Breakfast was a buffet with an omelette bar. We don’t like buffets – we find them not very hygienic even though everything was covered and nicely presented, but there are still all the serving pieces that get handled by all the guests. Eew. We ordered an omelette (small but okay) and fresh juice and coffee, which was fine but not great value for the 21 € buffet charge. The hotel should offer à la carte options or a way to have a smaller breakfast (coffee, croissant, and a yogurt or fruit) for a lower price. Not everyone has the appetite or time for a buffet breakfast; I prefer service. There was no gift shop in the hotel or a way to buy a Zwolle souvenir, and with no shops nearby that would have been nice.
