The resort was closed, and although the cabins looked nice, there was no staff present. We managed to stay one night there because otherwise we would have had to cycle back to town at night.

The resort was nonexistent—closed and abandoned, a huge rip-off! I can't understand how something like this could happen when booking through booking 😡🤷

The hotel was shut for maintenance, a fact we only found out randomly (someone was still texting us on the day of our booking to ask what time we were checking in). They neither cancelled the reservation nor accepted our online request to waive cancellation fees. We are now waiting for a bank transfer refund.

This place is a real gem. We spent a wonderful week here and everything was perfect. It's the best you can find in Kalabahi, and that's saying something. The location is a bit far from the city, about 5-6 kilometers, which is actually a blessing in disguise - Kalabahi is just too loud to sleep in. The surroundings are lush and green, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They're also getting ready for some renovations, which I'm sure will make it even better.
