The property itself is beautiful, and the suite we finally settled into was spacious, comfortable, and had a wonderful atmosphere; the French Quarter location was excellent, and I especially liked the balcony and the separate living area. Once we were settled, the accommodations were very enjoyable. However, the check‑in and room situation was extremely frustrating: we arrived by Amtrak around 9 PM with a confirmed reservation and were told that because we had not checked in by 4 PM, our room was not guaranteed. We spent a large part of the next day dealing with the room issue before finally being settled. The billing afterward also required significant follow‑up; I had documentation showing that the destination/resort fee had already been included in my reservation, yet the fee was charged again. The charges were eventually corrected and refunded, but the process involved confusing charges and reversals and took a lot of time to resolve.
