I really liked the pleasant weather and climate in Gorkha, and the local food was good, and the location made the stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, the blanket didn’t seem to be properly washed, and the room had an unpleasant smell. I felt itchy all night and couldn’t sleep comfortably. Cleanliness and hygiene need a lot of improvement.

The room had a balcony with a nice view, the bus stops right in front of the hotel, and the bus terminal is about a 15‑minute walk; you can walk up the mountain to the temple, but you have to climb the hill. Some areas of the hotel need maintenance.

The restaurant food was very good; the rooms are fairly basic yet comfortable. Being the oldest hotel in Gorkha, it could use an update, but given its location and character, it’s perfectly fine. The staff were very helpful and kind. It could benefit from some capital investment, though I’m not sure how many local or foreign guests stay here regularly to justify it.
