The owner's attitude was completely unacceptable. I showed up around 4am, only to be told that he'd already rented the room because I was late. He even put an authorization hold on my account, which was a real kick in the teeth. I ended up finding another place to stay, the Holiday Inn, while sitting in his lobby - which, by the way, was decorated like it was still 1945.

The room itself was actually pretty clean, which was a relief. But the rest of the experience was a nightmare. There was no closet to hang my clothes, and the door wasn't even secure - the second lock didn't work, so I couldn't even rely on that. And then there were the gangs of young people wandering around at night, which was pretty intimidating. To top it all off, the noise from the other rooms was ear-shattering - I lost sleep both nights because of the loud music.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the room was a total disaster. It was nasty, with stains on the carpet and a bathroom that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I'm not sure how they managed to get away with charging people to stay in a place like that.
