“Ideal location when coming in late. So near the train station.”
Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The host was very welcoming and the location was close to the station. The proximity to the food and music festival meant it could be a bit loud at night, but it finished around 11.
“Honnete et pres des autobus”
The location was good, but the promised breakfast was not available at 8:00 am; no one was in the kitchen.
The location was fine, but I didn’t see any staff except one cleaner; the app responded quickly. The photos were heavily edited. Breakfast took place elsewhere and was disappointing. The room was also disappointing; I had booked a spacious room with a mountain view and a seating area, but I got a room with a view of a narrow alley and buildings instead. There was no seating in the room, not even a small table or chair. It felt cramped and dusty, the bedding was old and stained, and the mattress had only a thin sheet of protection, so it felt unhygienic—I ended up lying on a towel. The mirror was covered in dirty splashes. I stayed for 5 days, but the bathroom shared with two other rooms (so it could accommodate 6 people) was poorly or not cleaned at all; there were lots of hair on the floor from other guests for three days straight. The TV had a very bright white standby light that shone directly into your eyes when lying in bed—very irritating. The rooms on the other side might be better, but it was an unpleasant stay for 5 days. A single night might be okay, but longer stays are a big disappointment and not recommended.
“Clean, comfortable and good value accommodation close to Sintra inter-city train station.”
We had a very comfortable room with a fabulously spacious shared bathroom and shower. The balcony offered a lovely view of old‑town Sintra and a glimpse of the distant castle. We were very close to the train station. However, the hotel was a bit far from the historic centre of Sintra village, which we couldn’t walk to after a long day of climbing the hills at Pena and the Moorish castle. We were, though, happy to be so close for the walk to the Lisbon‑bound train station.
