The spot was handy for freeway access, and a gentleman who walked the grounds daily offered help without hesitation, which made my wife feel at ease. However, a gap in the front door/frame let outside humidity in, and we spotted a few roaches that probably got in through that same gap. Even though we requested handicap accommodations that were listed on the reservation, none were available. The bathtub floor was extremely slick, causing me to slip twice after two knee replacements, and there were no grab bars. When we asked the clerk about another room that could meet handicap needs or a throw mat for the tub, the reply was simply “No, all the rooms are alike,” which was not helpful.
