Red Roof Inn Dothan

I was a bit disappointed because the booking site showed a queen room available, but when I arrived they said no rooms were ready and had to clean one first. The floors were really dirty, and the bathroom wasn’t clean either.

“Unsafe and un clean”

We never stayed. After checking in and heading to our room we left just a few minutes later because the room was unclean, the door wouldn’t lock, and the hotel felt unsafe—drugs were being sold and used in the parking lot and a room was being used for prostitution. We were told we would get a refund, but when we returned to the desk to hand back the key we were told we wouldn’t.

The staff was friendly, but the pool looked green and both the toilet and tub appeared dirty.

The restaurants nearby were fine, but I can’t even start to explain the mess: my fiancé and I booked a room because our power was out, and it looked like literal feces on the door; the kitchenette plug was wired with an extension cord, another plug looked like it had been on fire, and there were drug deals outside. When we asked the front desk lady for a refund, she said she’d text her manager and then let us know. She later came to our room to confirm we could get a refund. Before we left, we checked at the front desk and she said “yes, it should hit your account in 30 minutes.” After we had already left, she called to say we wouldn’t get a refund. She was disrespectful, and the stay was terrible. I do not recommend the Ref Roof Inn in Dothan, AL on Montgomery Highway.
