Ktima Faki, The One & Only Destination on Mount Olympus

This place is truly special—our hearts stayed there. Ktima Faki in Litochoro offered a unique, lovingly run hotel away from mass tourism, right below Olympus. The setting is breathtaking, surrounded by impressive scenery that makes you feel it’s a one‑of‑a‑kind spot. What moved us most was the warmth and hospitality; we chatted personally with the hosts from the moment we arrived and felt genuinely welcomed, not just anonymous guests. The dinner was a culinary highlight of our whole trip, and everything felt personal, authentic, and caring. Ktima Faki exemplifies Greek hospitality: warmth, personal encounters, good food, and a place you simply want to stay. We saw many beautiful places and met great people on our tour, but this is where our hearts lingered. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts to the hosts for this special time and wonderful hospitality. We hope to return someday. A wholehearted recommendation for those who want to experience Greece beyond the tourist crowds.

“Stunning views and warm hospitality”

We enjoyed most of our stay at Ktima Faki in Litochoro, though a few details should be noted. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning—sea, forest, and the whole town of Litochoro spread below. Food and service were excellent; we ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and left generous tips. The hosts were thoughtful, and we received a sweet farewell gift at check‑out. It’s a great base for hiking and exploring nature on foot. Before visiting, check the road: it’s winding with some unpaved dirt sections, so a car with higher clearance is recommended, especially if you plan daily beach drives. At check‑in we found a kettle with sugar but no coffee or tea; when we asked for basic toiletries, they gave us a few coffee sachets. At checkout they tried to charge us for those sachets and a canned drink we had brought, which was a billing surprise. After we clarified, they didn’t insist, but it left a slight unease about billing clarity. Toiletries were very limited—just a tiny soap and half a bottle of shampoo at arrival, and they weren’t replenished later. The room offered very little storage for clothes and no comfortable place for luggage. Overall, it’s a charming spot with amazing scenery and delicious food, ideal for short stays—just double‑check your final bill and room charges.

“Great experience will recommend to everyone”

The place is very nice, newly built and comfortable, with awesome views, great food, and super kind, helpful staff. We had to leave eventually, though.

“Very friendly and warm hosts, great views and nice food.”

We were warmly welcomed, which was a relief after arriving late at night on motorbikes. The evening meal was tasty and breakfast was good too. There was a mix‑up with the rooms: the listing said a two‑bedroom apartment with a sofa‑bed in the lounge, but we were shown a two‑bedroom apartment that only had two beds, while we needed three. The room was changed to one that worked for us. The location is up the mountain from the village—something I liked, though some might not.

The place seems a bit remote from the village of Litochoro, requiring a dirt road through the woods. It’s a boutique, isolated, quiet spot with a lovely view of the Gulf and the Aegean Sea. There are 25 modern, clean rooms with good showers, a pool, a vegetable garden, and free‑roaming chickens. Nearly all the food they serve is over 80 % organic and natural. In the evening, we stayed in the village and had dinner there, which included organic wine that the manager prepares. The food was excellent and the atmosphere warm and homely. Breakfast was also wonderful. Nothing was wrong; it was perfect for us.
