I appreciated having my own shower room, which helped me feel somewhat clean before I left. However, the bedding and walls were covered in stains, so we had to purchase our own for the night, and the mattress had huge stains too. A strong smell lingered in the room and the walls were very thin, with hair and dust all over the sides and floors. Every piece of furniture was broken and held up with wooden planks.

The RCD tripped as soon as we turned on the cooker hood light. There was no hot water, and the fridge stopped working—probably because the breaker had tripped.

There was absolutely nothing worth mentioning; it felt like an uninhabitable slum. The location was okay, but I wouldn’t feel entirely safe leaving my car. The place was dirty, mouldy, and generally stained and uncleaned. I arrived and left feeling it was not fit to stay in, as shown in the attached photos. The bedding and towels were dirty, the shower walls were mouldy, and there were no real facilities. The photos reveal a cooker hood but no cooker, a dirty kettle, and I dared not look in the fridge. The furniture was broken, and I wasn’t even sure what the bed was because I didn’t want to get too close. I raised a complaint with the property, but they did not reply to my messages; I even received an automated response saying “hope you enjoyed your stay.” I had told them I wasn’t staying.

The location was convenient for my purposes. The room was not very clean: the duvet cover, pillowcases, and sheets hadn’t been recently laundered, and the towel was horrifically stained. There was no mirror, and I couldn’t find instructions on how to access the Wi‑Fi until I eventually figured it out.

They did not respond to messages, there were no towels in the bathroom, no trash can, and it wasn’t safe—the wardrobe almost fell on top of me, the back couldn’t lock, and there was no soap. Additionally, there was no hot water in the sinks.
