The house is very beautiful, old‑style and tastefully restored. The garden is also very pleasant. 10/15 minutes from the fort (easily accessible). Good value for money, clean rooms. The vibe feels a little odd, and there’s a clear lack of attention to details: broken sun loungers, bottle stubs lying around, and the guard doesn’t speak a word of English but is very kind (we eventually figured out how to communicate).

The spot was great, and the house had a unique vibe, but ants were everywhere, no kettle or tea/coffee in the bedroom, and the pool was filthy.

El propietario y sus trabajadores nos brindaron un trato excepcional y muy cordial. La habitación es amplia y cómoda. La casa de estilo colonial y su jardín con piscina hacen olvidarte del ajetreado entorno urbano. La ubicación algo alejada del casco histórico, pero por otra parte, situada en una zona completamente comercial y con todo tipo de servicios

Het hotel heeft de potentie om een leuk hotel te zijn, maar onze kamer was niet schoon, het krioelde overal van de mieren. Toen we ook een kakkerlak zagen, mochten we verhuizen naar een weliswaar mindere kamer, maar op de badkamer na, was die wel diervrij. De eigenaar verwachtte ondanks alles van ons, dat we voor de dure kamer zouden betalen, iets wat we uiteraard niet gedaan hebben. De eigenaar hebben wij nooit gezien en de beheerder spreekt geen woord Engels, niet erg handig als je buitenlandse gasten wilt ontvangen. De bedjes aan het zwembad zijn hoognodig aan vervanging toe. Tip: haal die afschuwelijke lampjes buiten weg en de kerstversiering, het is inmiddels eind maart.

We loved the feeling of having this villa to ourselves (no other guests)! Loved the pool and our beautiful veranda. But above all, Anton, the house keeper, is the most attentive and caring being. He made us feel at home and brought some delicious Sri Lankan treats for breakfast. The bathroom was not super clean and make sure you agree on price for breakfast beforehand
