The property sits right beside the I‑80, so I didn’t waste time getting to where I needed to be. The room was a bit cramped—there was no space to open luggage without blocking the main door. Wi‑Fi was restrictive and blocked VPN traffic, and the only soap available was a bar. The bed was too soft and a little saggy, and there was nowhere to put bath soaps except on top of the toilet tank.

I checked in on 9/25/2026 and returned to my room at night to find cockroaches scattering as soon as I turned on the lights; there were also about four in the bathtub and more under the bed. The room smelled like an ashtray even though it was non‑smoking, and my clothes now carry that odor. The bathroom door had a hole punched in it. The hotel offered no water to fill my bottle, and the vending machine had no water either. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were my only option. I understand it’s a cheap motel, but cockroaches are unacceptable. When I showed staff pictures, they just said they would look into it and did nothing else.

This is my second stay at Motel 7, and I absolutely LOVE it! The courtyard is charming, with topiary roses and many other roses, and the grounds are beautifully maintained and landscaped. I also appreciate the ‘Welcome’ mosaic and the masonry/concrete design near the parking area. The hotel feels safe and well‑fenced from the surrounding area. It’s near the I‑80 freeway, but I never hear the traffic. The room is compact but has everything I need: a full‑size refrigerator, microwave, bathtub, very comfortable bed, TV with remote, secure locks, and a great heater/air‑conditioner combo. The place is extremely clean. What I love most is how well the staff cares for customers—Bhav, the proprietor, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. He gave me the room I requested, offered extra grace time for check‑out when I needed it, and even came to my room to fix the TV and remote when I couldn’t get it to work. Not all hotels do this. If Bhav is working that day, you’re in for a treat. He’s a talented, charming, knowledgeable, and excellent individual. I couldn’t be happier with my stay at Motel 7 and it will be my first choice when I return to Vallejo. Thank you for your gracious hospitality—Motel 7! I didn’t stay a second night, but I will be back.

The place was a solid spot to stay, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. A male staff member, in particular, was helpful, professional, and friendly, and his excellent customer service really made the experience better. The price was reasonable and offered great value. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay with great service for the price, and I’d definitely consider coming back.
