The place was actually decent but terribly neglected: the pool was dirty and you couldn’t even enter, and the pool furniture was awful. To make matters worse, the power went out as soon as we arrived and the staff said it would be back soon, but it never returned. It got dark at night and we had no light or shower or anything.

“Experiência péssima!”

I was warned that this listing was deceptive, and it turned out to be true – the new owner just abandoned the place. She lives in São Paulo and never comes. The inn is now run by a guy who doesn’t even have a permanent job there; he only opens the gate for guests. You’re left totally unsupported. The lights went out during our stay and nobody came to give us a candle. Even the woman who lives in the back house left before we could finish because she didn’t want to stay alone. The owner has no control over the situation because she doesn’t live there, and she’s extremely rude. She demands 50 % advance payment, and when you arrive and complain about the condition of the inn and even want to leave, she refuses to refund your money. We were staying with a 6‑month‑old baby and she treated us with disrespect. Everything was filthy, stinky, and dirty. The old air‑conditioning unit smelled like mold. We fell ill after spending a day there. Don’t book, even though it’s cheaper than other places – staying there could ruin your trip.

The stay was wonderful! Rubia, the new manager, made all the difference – super welcoming, always giving great tips (we only ate at the restaurants she recommended and loved them all), and she handled every request with speed and efficiency. The breakfast was amazing, with juices and cakes that changed daily (especially the chocolate one that was so good we even made a lunchbox for later). The only downside was the shower in the loft had weak water pressure. It’s also not that close to the beaches or the square, but the walk is pleasant and enjoyable.

“Não retornaria !”

The spot feels cozy and inviting, but you can’t ignore the lack of upkeep – peeling paint, broken fixtures and a general sense of neglect everywhere.

“Quartos limpos e confortáveis, café da manhã incrível e equipe de atendimento sensacional”

Everything was spot on: spotless rooms, a sparkling pool, breakfast that actually tasted good, and the surrounding forest filled with birds and even monkeys. The staff were friendly and attentive, turning the stay into a mini‑retreat in nature.
